 \frac{5}{14}  +  \frac{2}{ - 7}  +  \frac{ - 3}{2}  \\  =  >  \frac{5}{14} -  \frac{2}{7}   -  \frac{3}{2}  \\ \: \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   =  >  \frac{(5 \times 1) - (2 \times 2) - (3 \times 7)}{14}  \\  =  >  \frac{5 - 4 - 21}{14}  \\  =  >  \frac{5 - 25}{14}  \\  =  >  \frac{ - 20}{14}  \\  = >  \frac{ - 10}{7}

  • As per the data given in the question, we have to find the value of the expression.

       Given data:- \frac{5}{14}+(\frac{-2}{7})+(\frac{-3}{2})..

        To find:- the sum of given fractions.

       Solution:-

  • We will take the LCM of the denominators, and make denominators the same.
  • We will Convert the given fractions to equivalent fractions with the denominator as the LCM.
  • Adding the numerators over the denominators.

        Therefore,

          \frac{x}{y} =\frac{5}{14}+(\frac{-2}{7})+(\frac{-3}{2})\\=\frac{5\times1+(-2\times2)+(-3\times7)}{14} \\=\frac{5-4-21}{14} \\=\frac{5-25}{14}\\=\frac{-20}{14}\\=\frac{-10}{7}.

   Hence, the value will be \frac{-10}{7}.
