5/2 i( –4–3i)

= 5/2 ( –4i –3i²)

= 5/2 [ –4i –3( –1) ] — ( i² = –1)

= 5/2 ( –4i + 3)

= –20i + 15/2 — [multiplying 5( –4i +3) ]

= –20i/2 + 15/2

= –10i + 15/2

a = 15/2 and b = –10
