Answer:

Question:-

A certain freezing process requires that room temperature be lowered from 40°C at the rate of 5°C every hour. What will be the room temperature 10 hours after the process begins?

To Find:-

Find the room temperature after 10 hours.

Solution:-

Given ,

Present temperature of room = 40°C

Rate of temperature decreases 5°C per hour

First ,

We have to find how many °C will decrease in 10 hours:-

\sf\longrightarrow \: 5 \times number \: of \: hours ⟶5×numberofhours

\sf\longrightarrow \: 5 \times 10 ⟶5×10

\sf\longrightarrow \: 50°C ⟶50°C

Now ,

We have to subtract 50°C from the room current temperature:-

\sf\longrightarrow \: 40 - 50 ⟶40−50

\sf\longrightarrow \: - 10°C ⟶−10°C

Hence ,

- 10°C is the temperature after 10 hours
