Simplify 6 - 4[x + 1 - (y + 3)] + 5y. anyone know the answer? Thanks.

Answer:

6-4[x+1-(y+3)]+5y

=> 6-4[x+4-y+5y]

=> 6-4[ x+4+4y ]

=> 6-4x -16 -16y

=> 4x-10-16y                  =>2(2x-5-8y)       [If you wish to take out the common]
