Suppose,
(a^2 - 13a + 30)
= a^2 - 10a - 3a + 30
= a ( a -3) - 10(a-3)
= ( a-3)(a-10)

Therefore,
a^2 - 13a + 30 / (a-10)
= (a-10)(a-3) / a-10
= a-3

Hope this helps you!!

Answer :

Now,

 \frac{ {a}^{2} - 13a + 30}{a - 10} \\ \\ = \frac{ {a}^{2} - (10 + 3)a + 30}{a - 10} \\ \\ = \frac{ {a}^{2} - 10a - 3a + 30}{a - 10} \\ \\ = \frac{a(a - 10) - 3(a - 10)}{a - 10} \\ \\ = \frac{(a - 10)(a - 3)}{a - 10} \\ \\ = a - 3
