Use the identities
(a+b)2= a2+b2+2ab
(a-b)2=a2+b2-2ab

(x2+y2+2xy) - (x2+y2-2xy)
x2+y2+2xy-x2-y2+2xy

(x2 and y2 will be cancelled bcoz of negative signs)
= 4xy is the answer
