4x + x - 2x² + x - 1
= 6x - 2x² - 1
x = - 1
6 * (- 1) -2 * (- 1)² - 1
- 6 - 2 * 1 - 1
- 9
The answer is - 9.

AvmnuSng: you can do one more thing, add up the same degree terms, before substituting x = -1, to -2(x^2) + 6x - 1,........... if u r seeing my comment, edit it, as u've solved it well, no warnings for this, but editing would be nice
joshinrexy22: yes u are right

Answer:

- 9

Step-by-step explanation:

Given expression is

4x + x - 2x^{2} + x - 1

First of all we need to simplify this expression

4x + x - 2x^{2} + x - 1

- 2x^{2} + 6x - 1

Now taking (-) common fron each terms

- (2x^{2} - 6x + 1)

Given, when x = - 1

-[2(-1)^{2} - 6(-1) + 1]

= - [ 2 + 6 +1 ]

= - 9 (Answer)
