 {( - 5)}^{ - 2}  \times  {( - 5)}^{3}  \\  \\  =  {( - 5)}^{ - 2 + 3}  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   \: ( {a}^{m}  \times  {a}^{n }  =   {a}^{m + n} )

 =  {( - 5)}^{1}  =  - 5

 {( \frac{1}{2} )}^{3}  \times  {( \frac{1}{2} )}^{2}

 {( \frac{1}{2} )}^{3 + 2}  \:  \: ( {a}^{m} \times  {a}^{n}  =  {a}^{m + n} )

 {( \frac{1}{2} )}^{5}  =  \frac{ {1}^{5} }{  {2}^{5 }  }  \\  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   = \frac {1}{32}
