Solution :-
Firstly convert the denominator to positive number
5/-7 = (5×-1)/(-7×-1) = -5/7
3/1 + -5/7
Now let us take the LCM for 1 and 7 which is 7
(3×7)/(1×7) + (-5×1)/(7×1)
21/7 + -5/7
Since the denominators are same we can add them directly
(21-5)/7 = 16/7
