 \sqrt{20}  \\  \\  =  \sqrt{4 \times 5}  \\  \\  = 2 \sqrt{5}

FIND THE FACTORS OF 20 :)

  =  > \sqrt{2 \times 2 \times 5}

As it is a square root so pair it by grouping to terms...

 =  >  \sqrt{(2 \times 2) \times 5}

Bring two out of the Root sign..

 =  >  2\sqrt{5}
