4a-2a^2-(2a-3a^2)

In 4a anr 2a^2, 2a is common and thus, we factor it from the expression.

2a*2-a)-(2a-3a^2)

In (2a-3a^2), a is common.

2a(2-a)-a(2-3a)

a is commin in the expression.

a(2(2-a)-(2-3a))

a(4-2a-2+3a) [remove the paranthesis]

a(4-2-2a+3a) [collect like terms]

a(2+a)
