Apply the formula,

( a + b ) ^ 2 = a^2 + 2ab + b^2,

so, here a = √8 and b= √10,

a^2 = 8, b^2 = 10 and 2ab = 2√80 = 8√5,

So, answer is 18 + 8√5.

Answer:

( a + b )^2 = a^2 + b^2 + 2ab

  • ( √8 + √10 )^2 = √8^2 + √10^2 + 2.√8.√10

= 8 + 10 + 2√80

= 18 + 2√18
