ii) 3(x + 2) + 5x - 7

= 3x + 6 + 5x - 7
When x = 2

= 3(2) + 6 + 5(2) - 7
= 6 + 6 + 10 - 7
= 22 - 7
= 15

iii) 6x + (5x - 2)
= 6x + 5x - 2

When x = 2

= 6(2) + 5(2) - 2
= 12 + 10 - 2
= 22 - 2
= 20

iv) 4(2x - 1) + 3x + 11
= 8x - 4 + 3x + 11

When x = 2

= 8(2) - 4 + 3(2) + 11
= 16 - 4 + 6 + 11
= 33 - 4
= 29
