( 2a + 5b )^2 + 20ab

Opening bracket by using formula, ( x + y )^2 = x^2 + y^2 + 2xy

Now,

( 2a )^2 + ( 5b )^2 + 2( 2a × 5b ) + 20ab

4a^2 + 25b^2 + 2( 10 ab ) + 20 ab

4a^2 + 25b^2 + 20 ab + 20 ab

4a^2 + 25b^2 + 40 ab

Hence, (2a+5b)^2 +20ab = 4a^2 + 25b^2 + 40 ab
