Answer:

3(x - 1) + 4(2x + 1) = 23 \\ 3x - 3 + 8x + 4 = 23 \\ 3x + 8x - 3 + 4 = 23 \\ 11x + 1 = 23 \\ 11x = 23 - 1 \\ 11x = 22 \\ x =  \frac{22}{11}  \\ x = 2

I hope it will help you

Answer :

3(x - 1) + 4(2x + 1) = 23

=> 3x - 3 + 8x + 4 = 23

=> 3x + 8x - 3 + 4 = 23

=> 11x + 1 = 23

=> 11x = 23 - 1

=> 11x = 22

=> x = 22/11

=> x = 2
