Simplify the following:

(i) \:  \: 1 + (13)3 - (12)3 \div 38

1 + 39 - 36 \div 38

1 + 39  - \frac{36}{38}

1 + 39 -  \frac{18}{19}

 \frac{19 + 741 - 18}{19}

 \frac{742}{19}

(ii)1x - 3x = 5(2x) - 3

 - 2x = 10x - 15

 - 2x - 10x =  - 15

 - 12x = -  15

x =  \frac{15}{12}

x =  \frac{5}{4}
