Given: (√3 + √2)²

Find: simplify the above equation.

solution:

step 1:

as we know that (a + b)² = a² + b² + 2ab    ................. (eqn. 1)

in given equation : a= √3

                               b= √2

step 2:

put the value of a and b in equation 1, we get

                              = (√3)² + (√2)² + 2 (√3 )(√2)

                              = 3 + 2 + 2 √3×2

                              = 5 + 2√6

so the final answer is = 5 + 2√6

Given:

(√3+√2)²

To find:

The simplified value of the given term.

Solution:

The given term can be solved by the algebraic formula

  • (a+b)² = a²+b²+2ab

Where a is √3 and b is √2

Applying the formula we get

(√3+√2)²

  • (√3)²+(√2)²+2.√3.√2
  • 3 + 2 + 2√6
  • 5 + 2√6

The simplified value of (√3+√2)² is 5 + 2√6
