To add or subtract expressions, expand them to make their denominators the same. Least common multiple of 3x+4 and 3x  2  +1 is (3x+4)(3x  2  +1). Multiply   2/3x+4  times   (3 x^2  +1 )/(3 x^2 +1)​

Multiply  1/(3 x^2 +1) times (3x+4)/(3x+4)
