Simplify this 3x – (8/x) = 2​

Solution :

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:3x -  \frac{8}{x}  = 2

 =  >  \frac{ {3x}^{2}  - 8}{x}  = 2

 =  >  {3x}^{2}  - 8 = 2x

 =  >  {3x}^{2}  - 2x - 8 = 0

 =  >  {3x}^{2}  - 6x + 4x - 8 = 0

 =  > 3x(x - 2) + 4(x - 2) = 0

 =  > (x - 2)(3x + 4)

 =  > x - 2 = 0 \:  \:  \: \:  or \:  \:  \:  \: 3x + 4 = 0

 =  > x = 2 \:  \:  \:  \: or \:  \:  \:  \: 3x  =  - 4
