(x + \frac{1}{2} ) ( x -\frac{1}{2} )   is like  ( a + b ) ( a - b )

Using Identity ( a + b ) ( a - b ) = a^{2} -b^{2}

(x + \frac{1}{2} ) ( x -\frac{1}{2} )

[ x^{2}  - (\frac{1}{2} )^{2} ]

⇒ x² -  \frac{1}{2^{2} }

x^{2} - \frac{1}{4}

∴ Simplified Answer ⇒  x^{2} - \frac{1}{4}
