how to solve?

step 1: Firstly open the brackets and expanding the terms.

Step 2: Now, Multiply each and every term with each other.

Step 3: Arrange the terms in such a way that it forms like terms.

Step 4:If further factorise then factorise it.

(x-4)(2x+3)

Multiply x and -4 with 2x+3 respectively.

➠x(2x+3)-4(2x+3)

➠2x²+3x-8x-12

➠2x²-5x-12 ( final solution )

Further solve=>

Since,the above equation is a quadratic equation so,it must have two factors.

Factorising :

➠2x²-8x+3x-12=0

➠2x(x-4)+3(x-4)

➠(2x+3)(x-4)=0

2x+3=0

x= -3/2

x-4=0

x=4
