Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:

 \frac{x}{4}  +  \frac{x + 1}{8}  \\

To find: Simplification of the given expression and answer from the given options A,B,C and D

Solution:

Take LCM

  = \frac{2(x) +( x + 1)}{8}  \\  \\  = \frac{2x + x + 1}{8}   \\  \\  =  \frac{3x + 1}{8}  \\  \\  \frac{x}{4}  +  \frac{x + 1}{8}  =  \frac{3x + 1}{8}  \\  \\

Out of the given options ,

Option A is correct.

Hope it helps you.

To find :

The value of ( x / 4 ) + [ ( x + 1 ) / 8 ]

Solution :

Given , ( x / 4 ) + [ ( x + 1 ) / 8 ]

on taking LCM of both the fractions ,

=> ( 2x / 8 ) + [ ( x + 1 ) / 8 ]

=> ( 2x + x + 1 ) / 8

=> ( 3x + 1 )

The value of ( x / 4 ) + [ ( x + 1 ) / 8 ] is ( 3x + 1 ) . Hence , option ( A ) is the correct answer .
