Solution :

_____________________________________________________________

Given :

To find the value of :

 \frac{x^3 + y^3}{x^2 - y^2}

_____________________________________________________________

We know that,

x³ + y³ = (x + y)(x² + xy + y²)

&

x² - y² = (x + y)(x - y)
_____________________

So,

 \frac{x^3 + y^3}{x^2 - y^2}

 \frac{(x + y)(x^2 - xy + y^{2} )}{(x + y)(x - y)}

 \frac{ x^{2} - xy + y^2}{ x - y}

 \frac{x^2 - xy + y^2 - xy + xy}{x - y}    (By adding & subtracting xy, for further simplification)

 \frac{x^2 - 2xy + y^2 + xy}{x - y}

 \frac{(x - y)^2 + xy}{x - y}

 \frac{(x - y)^2}{x - y} +  \frac{xy}{x - y}

 \frac{(x - y)(x - y)}{x - y} +  \frac{xy}{x - y}

x - y +  \frac{xy}{x - y}
