✨Heya dear!✨

How do I solve sin^-1 (sin 2)?

Sin^-1(sin2)

Here sin^-1 is sin inverse function.

Its range is between -pi/2 to pi/2 which is approximately -1.57 to 1.57

At first glance it seems easy as sin^-1(sin 2) must be equal to 2.

But, as you can see 2 is not part of range of the function.

We also know that sin(pi-x)=sin(x)

Hence Sin(pi-2)=sin2

So Sin^-1(sin2)=sin^-1(sin(pi-2))=pi-2

So, sin^-1(sin(2))=pi-2=1.141 (approx.)

As 1.141 lies between -1.57 and 1.57, it is the correct answer.
