x(2x - 1) + 5  \:  \:  \:  \: \:  if \: x =  - 2 \\  - 2(2( - 2) - 1) + 5 \\  =  - 2( - 4 - 1) + 5 \\  =  - 2( - 5) + 5 \\  = 10 + 5 \\  = 15

 =  - 2(2 \times  - 2 - 1) + 5

 =  - 2( - 4 - 1) + 5

 =  - 2( - 5) + 5
