Given:

  • [ (-2)³×(-2)⁴ ] / (-2)⁷

To Find:

  • The more simplified value.

Answer:

Before we proceed further , we must know the law of exponents .

Some of them which are

  • aⁿ × bⁿ = (a×b)ⁿ
  • a^m × aⁿ = a^(m+n)
  • a^m/a^n = a^(m-n)
  • a^-m = 1/a^m
  • a⁰ = 1

Now in first step inside the brackets , bases are same but the powers are different , so we will apply the formula a^m × a^n = (a)^m+n.

= [ (-2)³×(-2)⁴]÷(-2)⁷

= [ (-2)^ (3+4) ] ÷ (-2)⁷

= [ (-2)^7]÷(-2)⁷

Again we can here see that the number in division have same base but again different powers but this time they are in division unlike the last one which were in multiplication. So , here we will use the formula a^m/a^n= a^(m-n).

= [ (-2) ^7-(7)]

= [ -2] ⁰

Also we know that any number to the power 0 or multiplicity as 0 will be equal to 1 .

= 1 .

Hence the required answer is 1.
