Step-by-step explanation:

first one= (-147) ÷ (-21) ( Answer is +7)

= since two minus signs equal a plus we will simply just divide 147/21 and the minus signs will be changed to positive integers or will be removed

so 147/21= 7

Second one=16 ÷ ( -1 ) ( Answer is -16 )

when you have only one minus sign, it doesnt change and it will be added to the answer, since when we divide any number by 1 we get the number itself, but since there is a minus sign we add the minus to the answer

so 16/-1= -16

hope this was easy to understand!

Answer:

i) (-147) ÷ (-21) ( Answer is +7)

We know that ;

(-147) ÷ (-21) = - 147/-21

So;

= 7

ii) 16 ÷ ( -1 ) ( Answer is -16 )

We know that ;

16 ÷ ( -1 ) = 16 / - 1

So;

= - 16
