Answer:

The answer should be 35

How you ask?

Let us take the first three numbers. 10,5 and 13.The difference between 5 and 10 is of 5 and that between 5 and 13 is of 8.Therefore one can say that 10-5=5+8=13 and the sum of the factor by which the numbers are changing for first three consecutive terms is 3. now let us take next three numbers i.e. 5,13 and 10. The difference between 5 and 13 is of +8 and that between 13 and 10 is-3. That is, 5+8=13-3=10. Here the sum of difference is of 5. When we do for next three, we get the sum ofdifference to be of 3 (Difference between 13 and 10 is -3 and between 10 and 16 is +6. The sum of the differences is 3) again and after that the difference is of 10 (The difference between 10 and 16 is +6 and between 16 and 20 is +4. now the sum of difference is 6+4=10) and the one after that has a difference again of 3 (Difference between 16 and 20 is +4. The difference between 20 and 19 is -1. The sum of differences is +4-1=3) so by seeing the order the sum of difference in next should be of 15. If the number in the series is 35 then the last three numbers will be 20,19 and 35. The difference between 20 and 19 is -1 and that between 19 and 35 is +16. Therefore the sum of difference between -1+16 becomes 15 and 15 is exactly what we want. Here is a picture which can help you to understand this better.

The number after 35 is 12. Hope this helps you :)
