(x - 3)(x + 3)

According to the algebraic identity,

(a + b)(a - b) =  {a}^{2}  -  {b}^{2}

So,

(x - 3)(x + 3)  \\  =  {(x)}^{2}  -  {(3)}^{2}  \\  =  {x}^{2}  - 9

Answer:

Given:- (x -3) ( x + 3)

Solution:-

(x -3) ( x + 3)

= ( x) ² - ( 3)² [As it the formulla of (a² - b² )= ( a + b ) ( a -b) ]

= x² - 9

Things to know:-

Formulllas:-

  • (a + b) ² = a² + 2ab + b²

  • ( a- b)² = a² - 2ab + b²

  • ( a² + b² ) = ( a + b ) ² - 2ab

  • (a² + b²) = ( a - b)² + 2ab

  • (a+b+c)² = (a+b+c)² +2( ab + bc + ca)
