Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given Simran had to cut out circle of 5/4 cm am aluminium strip dimensions 35/4 cm by 5/4 cm how many full will Simran cut ?also find the wastage of the aluminum strip

Assume diameter of the required circle = 5/4 cm

Aluminium strip dimension = 35/4 x 5/4 cm

So number of circles which can be cut = 35/4 / 5/4 = 7

So maximum number of circles will be 7

Now area of rectangle = 35/4 x 5/4 sq cm

                                 = 175/16 sq cm

We know that Area of one circle = π r^2

                                                     = π (d/2)^2

                                                     = π d^2 / 4

                                                      = π/4 (5/4)^2

                                                       = 25 π/64

 So area of 7 circles will be 7 x 25 π/64

                                                    = 25 x 11 / 32

                                                 = 275 /32 sq cm = 8.593

Now coming to wastage

                                               Wastage = 175/16 - 275/32

                                                              = 75/32

                                                              = 2.34 sq cm

Hope this helps✌️
