T77Let 1/x = a
1/y = b
2a + 2b/3 = 1/6
(6a + 2b) /3 = 1/6
6a + 2b = 1/2.......eq1
3a + 2b = 0...........eq2
eq1 6a + 2b = 1/2
eq2*2 6a + 4b = 0
- - -
__________________
- 2b = 1/2
b = - 1/4
1/y = - 1/4
y = - 4
From eq 2....
3a + 2*-1/4 = 0
3a = 1/2
a = 1/6
1/x =1/6
x = 6
Therefore,
x = 6
y = - 4
