From the given condition,
4x-30/5x-30 = 1/2
1(5x-30) = 2(4x-30) ..........( Cross multinational)
5x-30 = 8x - 60
5x- 8x = -60+30
- 3x = -30
3x = 30 ......... (multiply by -1)
x = 30/3
x = 10
therefore,
4x = 4* 10
= 40
5x = 5*10
=50
therefore the first number is 40. and the second number is 50.
