\huge\bold{ANSWER:-}

Given,

Equation (i)

x - 2 = -1

Adding 2 on both sides, we get

=> x - 2 + 2 = -1 + 2

=> x = 1 ........................(a)

Now,

given,

equation (ii),

2x - y = 7

putting the value of x from eqn (a) in eqn (ii),

we get,

=> 2 × 1 - y = 7

=> 2 - y = 7

Subtracting 2 from both sides,

we get,

=> 2 - 2 - y = 7 - 2

=> -y = 5

Multiplying both sides with (-1),

we get,

=> (-y) × (-1) = 5 × (-1)

=> y = -5

Hence,

\bold{x=1}

\bold{y=-5}

Heya..,

your answer is here..,

x - 2y = -1....(1).

2x - y = 7.....(2).×2

x - 2y = -1

4x - 2y. = 14

-. +. -

-3x. = -15

x = 5

put x = 5 in equation in (1)

x - 2y = -1

5. -2y = -1

-2y = -1-5

-2y = -6

y = -6/-2

y = 3.

solution of (x,y) is (5,3).

hope its helpful to you...
