On squaring both sides,

(sin θ - cos θ)² = (1/2)²

sin²θ + cos²θ -2sinθ cosθ = \frac{1}{4}

1 - 2sinθ cosθ = \frac{1}{4}

2sinθ cosθ = 1- \frac{1}{4}

2sinθ cosθ= \frac{3}{4}

1 + 2sin θcos θ = 1 + 3/4 =7/4

sin θ + cos θ = √(7/4) = √7/2.

Hence, Option B is correct!!
