We should know a few trigonometric identity rules before solving the problem l.
Here, sin (90 - θ) = cosθ
cos (90 - θ) = sinθ
Now, sin²29 + sin²61
= (sin29)² + sin²61
= {sin (90 - 61)}² + sin²61
= (cos61)² + sin²61
= cos²61 + sin²61
= 1,
since sin²θ + cos²θ = 1
