Step-by-step explanation:

sin(a+b)=√3/2

sin (a+b)=sin 60

(a+b)=60...... (sin on both sides are cancelled)

cos(a-b)=1/√2

cos(a-b)=cos 45

(a-b)=45.......

sloving equation 1&2

a + b = 60

a - b = 45

eleminate b ...and we get

2a=105

a=105/2

therefore value of b=8/7
