when we put ∅ = 45° then
sin∅cos∅
= sin45°.cos45°
= 1/√2 × 1/√2
= ½
= 0.5.

For maximum value = +√(a^2 + b^2)
For minimum value = -√(a^2 + b^2)
So in this sum :
Maximum value of sin theta + cos theta
= √(1^2+1^2)
