The maximum value of sin∅cos∅ is 0.5

when we put ∅ = 45° then

sin∅cos∅

= sin45°.cos45°

= 1/√2 × 1/√2

= ½

= 0.5.

For your future help:

To find maximum or minimum range of only the function sin theta + b cos theta there is a formula :

For maximum value = +√(a^2 + b^2)

For minimum value = -√(a^2 + b^2)

So in this sum :

Maximum value of sin theta + cos theta

= √(1^2+1^2)

=√2

So answer is √2
