Greed is the main cause of all sins. Greed makes the individual to think of his personal gain only. He forgets his actual job or the duty to wards the individual or to the society. I sometime think, if every thing is created by the almighty God. Greed also has been created by God. God has given us a good mind to think which is full of love. The mind is having the power to discriminate between the good and the bad. One must have the fear of his Karmic results. I think in front of greed, the good mind could not resist the temptations of greed. There must be some way to control the greed.
In the village, of my child hood day’s .I have observed that the MEDICINE MAN used to be respected like God, even more than God. Cause, they were counted one of the good men among others. During those days the profession was counted as service to the mankind and service to God. Villagers used to visit him for any other problems also, because he is a Medicine Man. On completions of treatment every one used to satisfy him. As per our religious thoughts after every performance of puja or seva , DAKSHINA is must. Other wise it used to be counted as incomplete.
Same way after the completion of the treatment Medicine men were given some thing either in kind or cash as per the capacity of the individual. Presently this has turned to be called as Fees.
Presently things have changed. May be the socio economic growth has sum compulsions. Still, how MEDICINE MEN can forget the HIPPOCRATIC OTH, the code of Medical ethics? "The Hippocratic Oath is an oath historically taken by physicians and other healthcare professionals swearing to practice medicine ethically”.
It is observed; in many cases the charges are so high that some time it is so difficult to satisfy them by the poor and needy. Flatten Bills has become a habit of the day. Affordable can adjust. Every one thinks, most modern and sophisticated medical facility will bring them good results.
Presently, they have turned to be a business minded Medicine men, forgetting every thing that they have a duty towards the sick and the society. Greed even made them to forget God. They should come out from their personal gain and greed. We all must give them their due respect and fees. They have to run the establishment along with self. They also must not forget that sick man respects them as God. They help us to recover from our sickness. In fact they do the JIVAN DAN to us. Advent of new medicines and Medico Technology, regarding the rectifications of the ailments have given a boost to faster recovery. It has been very help full to all of us. In fact our life span has increased. In spite of all these, there are many, who are helping the poor with the mind to help and seva.
In stead of betterment of the sick patients they always thought about their gains. Ultimately, due to dereliction of duty a massive fire broke out. The smoke created havoc, many sick irrespective of cast creed and sex which includes the aged, men, women expecting mothers, children and more serious cases, had to die due to suffocation. They all were admitted to the place of sickness to get better treatment. The relatives could amass the hospital fees for better and faster recovery. Many could not be rescued and had to leave the world, a premature death. Where God is and what are the faults of those? It was of whose KARMIC RESULTS? The Medicine Men or the suffers? In fact the Greed and the Greed are the cause.
