 { \sin }^{2} 30 +  { \cos }^{2} 45 \\  =  { \frac{1}{2} }^{2}  +  { \frac{1}{ \sqrt{2} } }^{2}  \\  =  \frac{1}{4}  + \frac{1}{2}  \\  =  \frac{1 + 2}{4}  =  \frac{3}{4} ans.
