it's is an identit.in trigonometry.
From Pythagoras threom AB sq + BC sq =AC sq
dividing each term with AC sq we get AB sq /AC sq + BC sq / AC sq = AC sq / AC sq
that is (cos A) sq+(sin A)sq=1
Hence proved

Sin^2=p^2/h^2 and cos^2=b^2/h^2 add both p^2+b^2 finally becomes equal to h^2 and the value gets equal to 1
