 \frac{sin \theta}{1 + cos \theta}  \\  =  \frac{2sin \frac{ \theta}{2} cos \frac{ \theta}{2} }{2 {cos}^{2}  \frac{ \theta}{2} }  \\  =  \frac{sin \frac{ \theta}{2} }{cos \frac{ \theta}{2} }  \\  = tan \frac{ \theta}{2}
