sin theta - cos theta=√2

by multiplying 1/√2 in both sides....

1/√2 sin theta - 1/√2 cos theta=1

we know 1/√2=cosπ/4=sinπ/4

so....

sin π/4 sin theta - cos π/4 cos theta =1

as sinAsinB-cosAcosB=cos(A+B)

cos (π/4 +theta)=1

cos (π/4+theta)=cos2nπ

π/4 +theta=2nπ

theta=2nπ-π/4

where n is Integer or €Z
