Answer:

(sin theta + cos theta ) (sin theta/cos theta + cos theta / sin theta)

(sin theta + cos theta ) ( sin² theta + cos² theta)

___________________  (LCM of sin theta, cos theta)

                                       sin theta cos theta

(sin theta + cos theta) (1)/sin theta cos theta

[sin theta/sin theta cos theta + cos theta/sin theta cos theta]

sec theta + cosec theta

Hence, proved.
