let B, P and H are base , perpendicular and hypotenuse of a right angled triangle.

since ,we know that

sin A = P /H => sin^2A = P^2 / H^2

cosA = B / H => sin^2A = B^2 / H^2

since ,H^2 = P^2 + B^2

sin^2A + cos^2A= P^2/H^2 + B^2 /H^2

=(P^2 + B^2) / H^2

=H^2 / H^2 = 1

therefore, sin^2A + cos^2 A = 1
