\frac{sin42°}{ sec48°} + \frac{cos42° }{cosec48°} - \frac{4}{3} sin² 30°

=> \frac{sin42°}{ sec (90°-42°)} + \frac{cos42° }{cosec(90°-42°)} - \frac{4}{3} sin² 30°

=> \frac{sin42°}{ cosec 42°} + \frac{cos42° }{sec 42°} - \frac{4}{3} × \frac{1}{2}

=>  sin42°+ cos42° - \frac{2}{3}

=>  1 - \frac{2}{3}

=>  \frac{3-2}{3}

=>  \frac{1}{3} Ans.
