Given: sinA - cosA = 1/2

On squaring both the sides we get,

→ (sinA - cosA)² = (1/2)²

→ sin²A + cos²A - 2 sinA · cosA = 1/4

Since sin²A + cos²A = 1.

→ 1 - 2 sinA · cosA = 1/4

→ 1 - 1/4 = 2 sinA · cosA

→ 3/4 × 1/2 = sinA · cosA

→ 3/8 = sinA · cosA

Hence value of sinA · cosA is ⅜.
