*ZANU-PF is the party that led to freedom struggle.

*It's leader,Robert Mugabe ruled the country since independence.

*Elections were held regularly but the only thing is it was ZANU-PF which won each and every time.

*President used unfair practices in election

*Over the years,his government changed the constitution many times to increase the powers of the president and make him less accountable.

*Opposition party workers were harassed and their meetings were disrupted.

*Public protests and demonstrations against government were declared illegal.

*Even there was a law that limited the rights to criticize the president.

*Also,Media was censored.

*From all the above statements we can surely say that the leaders of ZANU-PF were not so close to the values of democracy.
