Since weight is equal to the product of mass and acceleration due to gravity. So if earth would have repelled bodies (which is logically negative gravitation ), the gravitation due to repulsion would have been -10 m/s*2. Does this mean the weight could have been negative.

Answer:If the gravity was -10m/s^2

Then if the object rises the mass of the object is positive

If the object comes down then its mas is positive because -*-=+

yes,definitely because weight is a type of force which is a vector quantity and can be negative. Weight should not be confused with mass which is a scalar quantity that cannot be negative and is always positive ,irrespective of the weight.
