Hy friend , Your answer is here....
Yea , it is not sufficient in multicellular organisms because In multicellular organisms there are different organs for different functions but in unicellular organism all things are done by single cell and thus it is able to meet their oxygen requirements through Diffusion but in multicellular all cells of body are not Exposed to air and thus the cells which are in direct contact with environment can diffuse easily but inside cells takes time for diffusion to meet their oxygen requirements...It takes about 3 years approx. to take oxygen once to the whole body...........
Hope it helps to you.......

YES IT IS NOT POSSIBLE FOR MULTICELLULAR. AS THE BODY OF THEM IS MADE FROM MANY CELLS AND THAT TOO ORGANISED FOR DOING SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS. HUMANS HAVE MORE COMPLEX SYSTEMS AS THEY HAVE CELLS WHICH FORM TISSUES, TISSUES FORM ORGANS (EACH OF IT PERFORMS SPECIFIC FUNCTION), ORGANS FORM ORGAN SYSTEM IN THE BODY.
