Hi friends

Here is your answer

I 25% Discount
Let MP = 100

Discount = 25% of 100
 =  \frac{25}{100}  \times 100 \\  = 25
SP = 100 - 25
= 75

II 25% Discount
Discount = 25% of 75
 =  \frac{25}{100}  \times 75 \\  = 18.75
Now SP = 75 - 18.75
= 56.25

III 25% Discount
Discount = 25% of 56.25
 =  \frac{25}{100}  \times 56.25 \\  = 14.0625
SP = 56.25 - 14.0625
= 42.1875
= 42.19
= 42.20 (approx)

Now
Total Single Discount is 100 - 42.20
= 57.80 %

Hope it helps you

Here is your answer.

Let the Marked Price is RS 100

Now for First 25% Discount

Discount = 25% of 100
 =  \frac{25}{100}  \times 100 \\  = 25
Selling Price is = MP - Discount
= 100 - 25
= 75

Now for Second Successive 25. % Discount
Discount = 25% of 75
 =  \frac{25}{100}  \times 75 \\  = 18.75
Selling price is.= 75 - 18.75
= 56.25

Now Third successive 25% Discount

Discount = 25% of 56.25
 =  \frac{25}{100}  \times 56.25 \\  = 14.0625
Selling price is = 56.25 - 14.0625
= 42.1875
= 42.188
= 42.19
= 42.20 (approximately by Rounding off)

Hence
Total Discount = 100 - 42.20
= 57.80

Percentage Discount = Discount× 100/MP
 =  \frac{57.80\times 100}{100}  \\  \\  = 57.80\%
Therefore Total Single Discount equivalent to three successive Discount is 57.80%
